If you have a new or existing pool to fill, your pool company may have advised you to avoid bore water with heavy minerals. That advice is correct.
Many local bores contain iron, manganese, hardness, and organic matter that can stain new pool surfaces, cause brown or black discolouration, create scale on heat pumps and salt cells, make the water cloudy & increase chemical demand during start‑up.
Our supply comes from a deep, confined sandstone aquifer — not a shallow bore. This aquifer produces clean, stable, naturally filtered water with a chemistry profile that is ideal for new pool installations.
We understand that many new pools are surrounded by fresh tiles, coping stones, and new landscaping. To protect your surfaces:
This is standard practice for every pool fill we complete.
No staining metals. Iron and manganese are not present, so your pool surface will not develop brown or black stains — a common issue with many rural bores.
Soft water = no scale With hardness at only 4.4 mg/L, scale formation on heat pumps, salt cells, tiles, and pipework is significantly reduced.
Low nitrate = clearer water Nitrate at 0.002 mg/L means algae growth is not encouraged, reducing early chemical demand.
Naturally alkaline pH A pH of ~8.7 is normal for deep aquifer water. Pool installers adjust pH on day one as part of standard commissioning. High pH water is safer than low pH, which can be corrosive to new surfaces and equipment.
Consistent quality, Every load comes from the same aquifer source, ensuring predictable chemistry and stable start‑up behaviour.

Our truck carries 12,000 litres per load, and we can coordinate multiple loads for larger pools.
We have filled many pools across Matakana, Omaha, Point Wells, Warkworth, Leigh, including one of the largest residential pools in the region.
We can deliver the full pool volume in one coordinated run and work directly with your pool installer to ensure correct timing and placement.

We are kaitiaki of a precious resource and have a responsibility to share this extraordinary waler in the best way we can. We work in harmony with nature, using no chemicals or preservatives and drawing only a limited amount from our aquifer each season.

We strive to tread lightly on the earth, so that’s why we focus only within a small geographical area, the Matakana region. We don’t sell our water in plastic bottles, boxes or pouches – we deliver direct from the source to your tank. If there’s any water left in the truck and your tank is full, we’ll fill up buckets, or water your garden with the excess. You can also bring your own bottles and fill up at our community tap.

Because our market is so local, we don’t need expensive advertising campaigns – we’d rather invest in you, our community. That’s why we will gift $20 per 12,000 Litre order when selected, to a local charity or community group of your choice. In our first season, we donated over $6000 to local schools, clubs and emergency services. (And if you don’t know which group to choose, we’ll choose for you to make sure no group goes without.)
